Pathfinder Solutions PBC, a leading provider of innovative healthcare solutions, is proud to announce the launch of its groundbreaking Native American Peer Recovery Services Training program. This initiative underscores the importance of culturally tailored training programs and highlights the significance of culture, community, and connection in recovery.

The Native American Peer Recovery Services program combines evidence-based practices with culturally appropriate approaches to empower individuals within Indigenous communities to support each other's recovery journey and well-being. The program covers various topics, including trauma-informed care, traditional healing practices, historical trauma, and community resilience.

This initiative represents a pivotal moment in addressing the mental health and substance use needs of indigenous communities,” said Dave Wellstone, CEO of Pathfinder Solutions PBC. “By providing culturally sensitive peer support training, we aim to foster healing, resilience, and empowerment within the Native American communities to save lives.”

Colin Cash, the Director of Tribal Development at Pathfinder Solutions, has worked closely with tribal leaders, mental health professionals, substance use professionals, and recovery community leaders to craft and develop the training curriculum. The program uniquely incorporates traditional teachings, storytelling, and training methods to deliver a culturally specific experience.

“I am honored and privileged to be a part of a project tailored and designed for anyone who wants to make a difference in tribal communities,” said Colin. Our goal is to make an impact and focus on where the disparities are most prevalent, and that's tribal communities. So often, we get overlooked and forgotten about in the current continuum of care models, and this program doesn’t do that.”

In addition to our comprehensive training curriculum, Pathfinder Solutions goes beyond just providing education. We are dedicated to offering continuous support and resources to all program participants. More than just a platform, Pathfinder Solutions is a vital lifeline for recovery seekers and the organizations that assist them.

The Native American Peer Support Training program is now available to tribal organizations, healthcare providers, and community-based organizations serving Indigenous communities.

"I am grateful to be here and to have this representation because it's not something that I've seen for our people. It's specifically designed for our people to succeed because we learn differently and have been through things other cultures haven't."
